Welcome Our call at St Aidan's In Antioch Church is to "lift up Jesus the Lord of Heaven and Earth,” as we allow the Holy Spirit to blend the three ancient streams of the Faith - Liturgical, Evangelical, and Charismatic. Authentic life changing worship, experiencing the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, and living a life of loving obedience to Jesus our King are hallmarks of our life together. As part of the historic One Holy catholic and apostolic Church, we reach out to those who desire to see the fullness of the faith as expressed in the teaching of the Apostles and Sacred Scripture. A welcoming Great Commission parish, we are committed to making disciples, preaching and living the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Visit our links. Please join us and experience for yourself the
powerful movement of God in this fulfilling expression of the
ancient faith St Aidan's Anglican Church is affiliated with the San Joaquin Diocese of the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone ;and associated with Diocese of the Christ The King of the Communion of Christ the Redeemer. The End. |

There are 4 references to the Lord in Scripture as the "King of Glory," all of which are found in Psalm 24. He is the Lord of Creation, strong and mighty - mighty in battle. He is a powerful God, a Commander in Chief, One who fights for His people, not against them because He cares passionately for them. The Lord Himself is the Strength of His people, protecting them during adversity, setting them high, far from the reach and power of the enemy (Ps. 18:1-2.) He is the King of Glory - our Sovereign Lord, - our protection, our security, and our God and as such is worthy of our love, devotion and praise.
The End. |
This icon depicts Christ in eschatological glory. The blue spheres around Him, without beginning or end, represent both the heavenly realm and eternity. The red squares represent time. The Greek letters in His halo signify, I am. God and man, Christ bridges time and eternity. The Old Testament prophets had incredible visions of God in glory, and their imagery is repeated in the New Testament. Six-winged seraphim surround Christ’s throne, and Ezekiel’s winged beings face the four directions, and represent the four evangelists. All except for Christ are painted as though transparent, to emphasize that they are spiritual beings. Christ is painted with bold colors, because He is life itself fully man and fully God. He holds an open Bible to demonstrate not only that He is the Word of God but the Giver of the Torah - the Living Word or Law of God The End. |
